One thing I miss about not currently being on staff with a church is the consistency of a week-to-week worship relationship you build as a church family. The fact that I’ve been able to come in somewhat regularly to Mountain Valley Church over this past year has at least given me a bit of that familiarity.

I’ve really enjoyed getting to know the staff and working with their worship team has been great. The people in the band are top-notch players, second only to being great people.

Tying into the theme again this week, we did ‘Hold On‘ as a performance piece. This song has been out for a few years and it’s one my favorites. I’m a sucker for a great melody and strong lyric. To top things off, we were able to have a Cello player for this tune and it added so much. It was just fun!
