It was great to be back in California this weekend. Â I flew into Sacramento on Friday and had a chance to reconnect with several incredible friends who used to play in my band. Â Saturday I spoke at The Worship Conference in Rocklin, CA. Â Huge props to my fellow World Vision Artist, Jason Squires, for his work putting that conference on.
I led worship at Hope Chapel in Santa Rosa, CA on Saturday and Sunday. Â Hope Chapel is a quaint church in the Sonoma Valley. Â Some very kind people in this church. Â It was an unplugged set with me leading from acoustic guitar and two backing vocalists.
There may not be a lot of people at Hope Chapel but they are a singing church. Â So many times I lead in churches where people aren’t involved in the worship. Â Like my friend Bob Kilpatrick says, “There’s a lot of people ‘agreeing along’ and not many ‘singing along.'” I’m always encouraged when folks come ready to engage with God with their worship and do so by singing out.
Here is my set list from this weekend:
Hosanna ::: Paul Baloche
Our God ::: Chris Tomlin
Mighty To Save ::: Hillsong
Jesus Paid It All ::: Kristian Stanfill
You Gave Your Life ::: Andy Allen
Enough ::: Chris Tomlin
What songs did you do in your services this weekend? Â Any favorites?
