Mountain Valley Church | September 4th, 2011

This was my last time leading worship as an AZ resident. While we’re incredibly excited to be moving, it was bittersweet to know I won’t be leading at Mountain Valley Church on a semi-regular basis. I’ve grown to love and deeply appreciate the team here and their approach to doing church in a way that is welcoming to anyone.

The message was titled “iChurch” and was a look at how we don’t just go to church, we are the church. I’ve heard other talks on this subject, but I was really taken with the honesty and sincerity that Pastor Phil used in discussing this today. He told a couple stories of how people being the church at Mountain Valley had completely changed the trajectory of other people’s lives. I love these kinds of stories…it never gets old hearing about people’s lives being completely transformed because of Jesus!

The band fricken’ rocked…plus it was a blast having Kieran play again…my boy is an awesome lead electric player.

Here is the set:

The Saving One | Starfield
Forever Reign | One Sonic Society
If We Are The Body | Casting Crowns
Our God | Chris Tomlin

Were there any songs that stood out to you this weekend?
